This is probably the third of fourth time I've visited this restaurant. My wife and I visited Saltgrass for date-night recently, and the experience was fabulous.
We started with margaritas at the bar. After a short wait, the host lead us to our table at a semi-private corner of the restaurant--perfect for couples.
We ordered a bottle of Concha y Toro Chilian merlot, which was very tasty. My wife had the Filet Mignon while I had the New York Strip.
Our waitress, Shannon, provided A-class service and sweet hospitality.

My family and I visit Casa Garcia's in Pflugerville pretty often. Although there are other Tex-Mex restaurant around the area, we prefer Casa Garcia's.
The service is great. Clients are seated as fast as possible. Even during busy days, such as Saturday and Sunday mornings, the wait time is rather quick--compared to other restaurants around town. Of course, it always helps to know what you want to order by the time the waiter comes around.
For the price, the food is rather good. The serving size is quite generous too. If visiting for breakfast, try the Migas a la Mexicana. Migas are torn fried corn tortillas scrambled with eggs. "A la Mexicana" means the sauce used to top the migas is made with jalapeno peppers, onions, and tomatoes. If visiting for dinner, their Sizzling Hot Fajitas is a great option.
The ambience is authentic Mexico. The decor is mostly interior Mexico with a few hints of ranchero Mexican culture.
This is a fantastic family restaurant.

Since I was about 6 years old, there was only one true Chinese restaurant in McAllen. The Lotus Inn was the only reputable Chinese restaurant in the Rio Grande Valley.
Twenty-one years later, it's still the place it was back then.Although, the valley now has food chain companies, such as PF Changs, it is still worth giving the Lotus Inn a chance. The service is fast and courteous, and the food is great.
The restaurant is located on north 10th Street in the center of McAllen.

One tip: Unless you are not bothered with flies and bees, the dining area may be a good choice for the best dining experience.

A coworker and I enjoyed dinner at Tokyo City Steakhouse and Sushi Bar in Northwest Houston, last night. The experience was quite enjoyable.
We arrived thirty minutes before they were scheduled to close, but they welcomed us and provided first class service--we were the only customers in the sushi bar, besides the two gentlemen at the bar.
My coworker and I ordered sushi and rolls as our meal. The fish was fresh and quite good.
Try the Spicy Salmon Roll. Make sure to have a glass of water next to you.
